Chris Thatcher teaches the Meisner Technique and the Michael Chekhov Technique in a unique combination that is reliable, effective, and produces inspired and powerful performances every time. When taught in the context of improvisation, scene study, cold reading, auditioning, and on-camera, this combination is unbeatable. Chris also teaches other acting techniques and tools customized to the needs of the individual actor, and if needed, coaches actors on the practical side of show business: headshots, photographers, demo reels, resumes, agents, submissions, auditions, casting directors, interview technique, professionalism, career development, and marketing yourself.
Chris Thatcher recently moved to Boulder from Los Angeles. For the last nine years, Chris has taught acting based on the Meisner Technique, the Michael Chekhov Technique, and other techniques. Many of Chris' clients are working professionally in Los Angeles, New York, and on location around the world. During the past 25 years, Chris trained in New York, London and Los Angeles, acted in many critically acclaimed stage productions, as well as in film and television, and directed for both stage and film. Chris specializes in freeing actors from whatever blocks are holding them back from realizing their full artistic potential.
